Lake Garda – Between Nature, Sports, and Tradition
1st March – 63rd Carnevale dei Giovani, Pietramurata
A fun-filled festival for all ages, with mask parades, children’s shows, and the traditional distribution of “mezze penne al ragù”. The event will take place in Piazza Mercato starting at 11:30 AM.
2nd March – Sbigolada Torbolana, Torbole sul Garda
An unmissable event for lovers of local culinary tradition. The famous “Sbigolada” features the free distribution of “bigoi with sardele”, accompanied by live music and entertainment in the picturesque village of Torbole.
2nd and 4th March – Carnevale di Salò, Salò
Two days of fun for the little ones, with inflatable games in Piazza Serenissima from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Also, wandering music through the streets of the center from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, featuring the Puegnago del Garda band and the Junior Band of Salò.
7th-8th March – Rally del Bardolino, Bardolino
The scenic roads surrounding Lake Garda become the circuit for one of the most exciting competitions of the season. An unmissable weekend for motor enthusiasts and speed lovers.
9th March – Bardolino Bike, Bardolino
Lake Garda becomes the perfect stage for mountain bike enthusiasts. This race, with its routes through the hills and along the lake’s shores, is a must for anyone who loves two wheels and adrenaline.
9th March – Carnevale di Lazise, Lazise
Masks, floats, and lots of music for a carnival that celebrates tradition with a colorful show in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages on the lake.
Verona – Culture, Spectacle, and Timeless Emotions
1st March – Reopening of Parco Natura Viva, Bussolengo
Ready to meet species from all around the world? The famous wildlife park reopens its doors for a season dedicated to nature and biodiversity conservation. A perfect opportunity for a family outing.
1st March – Carnevale a Palazzo, Palazzo della Gran Guardia
An elegant evening with masked ball dances and entertainment, starting at 8:00 PM. An occasion to experience the carnival atmosphere in a historic and charming location.
4th March – Last Day of Carnevale, Piazza dei Signori
The closing of the carnival festivities with events and shows starting in the afternoon, culminating in an evening of music and fun to say goodbye to the carnival until next year.
8th March – Reopening of Parco Giardino Sigurtà, Valeggio sul Mincio
With the arrival of spring, one of the most spectacular gardens in Europe shines again. Fields of tulips, well-maintained lawns, and ancient century-old trees await you for a walk through history and nature.
8th-9th March – Model Expo Italy, Verona Fiere
Modeling in all its forms: from miniature trains and airplanes to the most modern drones. A unique fair that attracts enthusiasts from all over the world.
8th-9th March – Elettroexpo, Verona Fiere
Technology, electronics, and amateur radio enthusiasts gather in Verona for an event that will make the eyes of sector enthusiasts sparkle.
Cortina d’Ampezzo – Taste and Adrenaline in the Dolomites
1st March – Street Performances, Cortina d’Ampezzo
The center of Cortina comes alive with breathtaking performances: Corso Italia and Piazza A. Dibona will serve as the stage for the Lunaridens Company, comedy shows by Ottopanzer, and hip hop dance performances in costume organized by the A.S.D. Cortina Energym group.
4th March – Grand Finale of the Carnival, Cortina d’Ampezzo
An event not to be missed to conclude the Carnival in style. The Winter Palio of the Sestieri d’Ampezzo will take place at Passo Tre Croci starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a musical performance by Daphne De Santa in Piazza A. Dibona at 3:00 PM. In the afternoon, there will be a parade of small masks and awards, while the Šmatisón Olimpico, the evocative costume parade along Corso Italia, will close the day at 6:00 PM.
7th-9th March – Weekend in Pink, Rifugio Averau
A special weekend to celebrate Women’s Day, with gourmet dinners, snow experiences, and relaxation at high altitudes.
13th-15th March – WinteRace Cortina
The snow-covered Dolomites provide the backdrop for one of Europe’s most fascinating regularity races for vintage cars. An event that combines a passion for motors and breathtaking landscapes.
